Welcome to the Pendragon Dragon Panthers Dragon Boat Club Website. The Pendragon Panthers are a serious sports club dedicated to the development of dragon boat racing in Sydney's Greater West. As a subclub of Panthers, World of Entertainment, new members are sought and welcomed. If you are looking for a new and challenging sport then Dragon boat racing may be what you are looking for. Combining physical fitness, strength, teamwork and centuries old tradition, dragon boat racing offers something for everyone. Categories are open to men and women of all ages and juniors between the ages of 12 to 18. If you believe that Dragon boating racing is for you then be prepared to test your physical limits at training, local, national and international events. Dragons Abreast - Pendragons is a newly formed sub club of the Pendragon Panthers that caters for the breast cancer survivors and supporters. So if you are not quite up to the rigors of competitive paddling and just want to get out on the water, have some fun and meet new people then this new club may be for you. New members are always welcome. We have a special training session at 3.00pm on Sundays for anyone new to dragon boating. This session provides all the information you need including how to hold the paddle, how to sit, the paddling technique and the various sweep calls (instructions). What to wear for training: Shorts / boardshorts Rash shirt / T-shirts / singlets Aqua shoes or old runners. Bare feet is not advised Hat (If the sun is out) Sunglasses (Optional) Thermal clothing for the really cold days Spray jacket on the wet days What to bring to training Water (500ml to 1 litre) - bring it on the boat, hotter days you may need more. No glass bottles Sunscreen Change of clothes - you will get a bit wet or maybe a lot wet Lots of energy Not a full stomach - don't eat a heavy meal prior to training  Email:
